Had someone try to kill me in an Ausable boat but the wife read the fine print on the life insurance policy. Share great times with old friends. Caught lots of fish on dry flies, just nothing bigger than 14". And determined that Charlie Brown's kite eating tree has nothing on me when it comes to really mucking up a cast. I think we need some details on the boat story... My newsreaders said I had some 300+ unread messages. From what I gather: (and apologies to Cyli) No need to apologize, as I have no clue any offense has been done to me. 1. Some folks who fished Alaska disagree on how close to a bear they should get. And who has the bigger dick? Yep. My personal idea of bears is that seeing them from my vehicle window is much better than seeing them right across my campfire. 2. An expatriate Canadian and a Texan/Missippian, are trying to out-Mexican each other? And who has a bigger dick? That one gave me some interesting information on Mexican food. 3. An expatriate Alaskan retold a joke that's been posted a thousand times and said something incredibly ignorant about pre-war Iraq and terrorism therefore tripping on his dick. Oh, yeah. If it's only been posted a thousand times, I'm surprized. I thought I'd read it at least that many times and I'm only on a few outdoors newsgroups and wasn't on the 'Net until '95. 4. lacourse had a family member pay the ultimate sacrifice (condolence's dave) and of course it turned into a rehash of old battles and who has the bigger dick? Well, yeah. 5. Claspy went to Mass but the Mass boys kept him away from the poetry proving they had bigger dicks. I don't think that one was that clear cut. (nobody make the obvious joke, which I've just noticed, but I'm unwilling to go back and rephrase). is this a fair rehash or do I need to read the rest of the freeking messages? Yep. I think you've got everything. There was some stuff about fishing and even about use of particular flies, but nothing I can recall that was outstanding or terribly innovative. -- r.bc: vixen Speaker to squirrels, willow watcher, etc..
