... "Bob La Londe" wrote in message .. . Low light conditions (sometimes) and when bass are actively chasing bait. Good to know. Is spring better than any other season for topwater fishing? Thanks for your feedback! Karen C. I have pulled up prespawn fish on top. I've pulled bass off beds by suspending a topwater over their heads during the spawn. In the summer months I've caught plenty of fish on top early in the morning and as the sun is setting in the evening. In the summer and fall I've caught tons of fish when I spot them busting bait fish on the surface, and even sometimes when I just see ripples on the surface, but no busting. I even had a day last winter in December when I ground out 12 -15 fish on an overcast day just throwing poppers all day long. -- Bob La Londe www.YumaBassMan.com |
