My cousin and I coined that very description the "Silver Creek Shark Attack"... From my experience the end result has been the same as yours... On a couple occasions, I have let the line go completely slack when the fish tangles itself in the weed base, I don't know if the fish thinks it's free, however it would free itself from the weeds and the battle would continue. By far the most difficult and humbling place I have ever fished. JT |
