Fish Finder Battery Life

Check the size of the D-Cell battery pack. A lot of them add upto 12 volts.
In fact I think most of them do so they can use an off the shelf model and
convert it to portable operation.

Just get a couple 12V 7AH Gell Cell batteries. Any alarm company will have
them. You can get them from radio shack or order them from a number of
on-line vendors including Cabelas. They will outlast your trip no problem.

fishing trip. My old fish finder could go about 1-week on two lantern
batteries. The clerk told me that about 2-years ago, all manufacturers
converted to "D" batteries. He also told me that according to customer
reports, the Eagle FishMark 320 gets about 6- to 8-hours from 8 "D"
batteries. At that rate, I would have to pack about 80 "D" batteries!
