What kind of fish am I??
"Me" wrote in message news:OZQRh.29606$B7.11680@bigfe9... I snagged this little guy Friday while bass fishing. My old man said it was a "shiner". Is my old man right? Yes he is right. That is a golden shiner, usually just called "shiner" at the bait shop. When young and small they tend to look silvery but as they start getting bigger (as in the one you have in your hand) they get yellower in color. I've caught them as large as a pound on worms.
