I've got 14 hoppers (Green - size 6, 8, 10, 12; Brown - size 6, 8, 10;
Yellow - size 6, 8, 10 and Brown & Yellow - size 4, 6, 8, 10) to mount in a 12" x 12" shadow box with a light tan heavy cardboard background. The tan card is held securely to the back of the shadow box. There is no matte or internal border so the full 12 x 12 is the display surface. The tying instructions and recipes will be printed on 8 1/2 x 11" bond inserted into a certificate frame. Any suggestions, comments and advice would be appreciated. Have you ever seen 12 or 14 flies mounted before? If so, did they look crowded? What is the best way to put titles onto the tan card background - labels, letters, printing? What is the best way to securely mount the hopper flies to the tan background? There is 3/4" between the tan card and glass cover. What is the best way to lay out the flies? Initially I was thinking: HEADING AND TITLE Green size 12, 10, 8 and 6 Brown & Yellow size 10, 8, 6 and 4 Yellow size 10, 8 and 6 Brown size 10, 8 and 6 Any other comments? Thanks. John |
