Default Wimpy Little Rod

Ok Joe. I give. One of those puny little 5 and a half foot rods might be a
decent spinner bait rod after all. My son is expressing some interest in
fishing again after he and I spent a weekend camping at the lake.

I've got him rigged out with four rods now. I was looking at one of those
old Zebco Combo rods and thought what in the heck can I do with that thing
for him. Ah, heck. I'll put a spinner abit on it just to prove Joe wrong.
Well, I have to admit I was wrong. No this rod is not the ideal spinner
bait rod. Not enough backbone IMO, and not sensitive enough, but the soft
tip sure does the job. Its easier to cast than Ifigured and even with that
puny little Zebco 33 I can wake, slow roll, or just crank it in just fine.

Ok, Joe, I may just have to go on the hunt for one of those wussie little
broke off rods for spinner bait fishing. You win. (I'll probably still
stick with my 7 footer most of the time though.)
