Frank Reid The zebra mussel issue presents quite the conundrum. It seems that every report I see, from the Muskegon becoming gin clear and healthy to your latest report from the ponds of Nebraska, that the affects of water purification through the filtering of our little mollusk friend, is beneficial except that it clogs pumps and other intakes. If this is all there is to it, this seems solvable and not a bad trade off for the benefits derived. So, what are the other bad 2nd order affects of the zebra mussel? Halfordian Golfer It is impossible to catch and release a wild trout. http://www.seagrant.wisc.edu/zebramussels/FAQs.html#2 g.c. |
