![]() "rcturner99" wrote in message ... As someone brand new to fly tying, in a separate thread, I got some good advice about purchasing a vice. I'm thinking about the Dan-vise or the Anvil Apex. Can these be purchased at a discount at the show, or should I just go ahead and buy one over the internet? Thx. Rich I forgot to add the link to Renzetti http://www.renzetti.com/home.php?cat=313 I realize that the Traveler is probably out of the price range you are considering, but I believe that you will find it to be worth the extra dollars spent, just my opinion though. I have no connection whatsoever to Renzetti, btw. The Renzetti Traveler has gone up in price about $30, since I first started looking at them. I would suggest checking out numerous fly fishin' forums to see if anyone wants to sell an older version. From the picture on Renzetti's site, it doesn't appear as though they have made any significant changes with the 2000 series. Post your query over at rec.outdoors.fishing.fly (ROFF). You will get much helpful advise, before the thread degrades into a ****ing contest! Regards, Op |
