I'm in a bind and need some help. The vynyl coverd bench seats in my 1997
Champion boat are in need of reupholstering badly. It would save me a lot of money if I could just get them out and buy replacement seats. But I can't figure out how to remove the upright portion of the seats (the back rest). They look completely covered with no access from the live well area. The cost to reupholster have been quoted here between $700 and $1200 just for the bench. I can replace somewhere between $400 & $600 if I can get old ones out. I'm a dupe and not very mechanically minded. Have had a few friends who were going to help, but keep canceling and I'm tired of relying on them. Thanks guys. any one who may know how they come out and wants me to give them a call, I'd be happy to. I've called Champion and of course they could care less because it's a pre-genmar boat. Mike |
