A fishing rod is just a fishing rod, a wife is a "thing of beauty, and a joy as long as it lasts" Try talking to your wife a bit more, you can always get another fishing rod, getting a wife is harder, quite apart from any specific properties the present incumbent may embody. Of course, you will only come to realise these when they are no longer extant. You will probably buy a "new and improved" fishing rod every time the marketing guys manage to convince you that such an expensive step is absolutely essential to your continued health and wellbeing.
