OT rant (non-political of course)

Went in to see my doc this AM for an annual flu shot and to schedule a
colonoscopy. While there I saw this as an opportunity to ask doc about a
"jock itch" problem I've been having. He wrote me a scrip for 14 pills, one
a day, which would clear up the problem. Presenting the scrip to the
pharmacist, he said these pills would cost "hundreds of dollars" and
Medicare would likely balk at picking up the tab before talking to my doc.
Hundreds of dollars?!?!?! Hell, for that I could hire Shania Twain to
scratch my nuts, who needs pills?
