Wachusett Reservoir (Mass.) Question

Hi,

Whenever I go the Wachusett Reservoir area, I usually fish the Quinapoxet
River there.
Have never really tried the reservoir proper.

Worth doing ?

If so, would appreciate any suggestions (don't want any secret spots) as to
a good gate or area to try where there would be some clear area for
backcasts, etc.

Possibly even some fish !

Do flyfishing only; no canoe.

Also, not a long walk in from where one leaves the car.
Can't do the long hikes anymore, unfortunately.
