Record Catfish Caught In The Ohio
Two fisherman may have reeled in the largest blue catfish ever caught in
the state of Ohio. Chris Rolph and Jon Owens were fishing in the Ohio River near the Schmidt Field boat ramp Wednesday night when they caught the giant. It weighs 96 pounds and is 54 inches long and 36 inches around. If certified, the fish will break a previous record. It was set last year when a 57 pound blue cat fish was caught in Ohio. Thursday afternoon the men released the fish in a pond near their Williamsburg, Ohio homes. The Blue cat is estimated at around 40 years old.
