The first time it happened some many years ago, the Credit Union send two week notices to everyone that they were changing banks and would receive new checks in the mail with the proper routing numbers and such...I was out of the country. The second time it happened was just a few days ago and I still haven't figured out just how it came to be...what I see today is not how I learned to prepare a statement back in 1970... In any event, it averages out to one bounced check every thirty years...and I know the life spans of the men in my family. And as much as I want to, I do not think I shall live to bounce another.. Now, there are LAWS of THIS and THAT and HYDRAULICS and GRAVITY and AVERAGES and I got to wondering, if they indeed be laws....and if I indeed deliberately bounced a couple of more checks..... ....would I live longer? John The last check you write should be to your undertaker, and it should bounce. (I think that was the title of a book.) -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |
