Gotta share this with you guys.
I was chatting with my 10 yr old son the other day and the subject of fishing came up. His comment nearly floored me. "Dad, can we do fly fishing next time?" I'm rapt!!! Of course there will be the usual distractions like swimming, throwing stones, exploring, building fires, etc. And now included in the distractions are looking for the natural food for the trout. Going to try him tying a few easy flies that he can try on the water next time. My little girl will tie very pretty flies (she'd love your salmon flies) that will never be allowed to touch the water probably. Couldn't keep it in, had to say something. Rob. |
