So I am going to ask for some 'puter purchasin' advice and

recommendations.

Ok, here is a list and pricing for a Dell notebook I'm thinkin' of buyin'.
As I am quite 'puter illiterate, could some of you techies assist me.

Tell
me if I am gettin' certain functions, products or whatever that I don't

need
and let me know if I would be better off with others. I am providin' the
website

http://configure.us.dell.com/dellsto...kc=6V603&l=en&
oc=8600SAP&s=dhs, in the hopes that I can get some feedback--positive or
otherwise.

Op, I ordered a Dell computer a couple of years ago. Price was very
reasonable, but when they confirmed my order and told me the shipping cost
my eyes popped. I forget exactly what it was, but the shipping cost was VERY
high. And it's not as if I live in outer Slobovia, or they had to hire
Sherpas to deliver it. I had some experience with similar things, having
bought a computer from Gateway a year or two earlier. I cancelled the order
as soon as I received their fax confirming the details and haven't ordered
from Dell since.

Bob
