(Rephrased question: How are things where you live?)

Saturday 20th December. 02.15 hrs. Dark of course! Sixty clicks due South of
Hamburg, on the edge of the Lueneburger Heide ( Heide = Moor). 5°C, no wind.
Weather has been very odd recently with a few warm sunny spells punctuated
by very cold spells. We were down to -11°C one night last week. One very
light snowfall up to now, which disappeared quite quickly. We also had some
very powerful wind storms which felled quite a few trees, and caused various
other damage.

Caught a bad cold while doing some small repairs to the roof, so have not
even been out of the house much for a few days. Once I get rid of the cold,
I may have a run up to the Baltic after cod, or with luck, maybe even a
seatrout. Have to get Christmas over first.
