daytripper Today, three weeks later, the FedEx guy dropped off my
daytripper resurrected Winston. And it appears *perfect* - the new
daytripper butt section looks perfect, the two sections fit perfectly
daytripper at the ferrule, and the rod finish and windings on the
daytripper butt are an absolute dead-on color match for the original
daytripper surviving tip section.

What I've seen and heard about Winston service has made quite an
impression on me.

My personal experience was last year, when the reel seat of my new 8'
2wt Winston turned out to be too small for some of the standard small
reels we use here. After contacting Winston and describing the
situation to them in detail, they took the rod back and changed the
seat. This all happened very swiftly and cost me nothing, and the end
result was flawless.
