Even if lubricant, cleaner and dressing are all the same thing to you that's not necessarily always the case, and what the **** is wrong with posting the same query after a year has passed anyway ? Hell, I don't remember some of the **** I read YESTERDAY fer cryin' out loud. Your last post, I was willing to let slide especially with your black/kettle remark. But this is over the top! Unless you've found God or something, the only reason you weren't chiming in is that the guy isn't a "newbie" to you. I sincerely don't understand the "pleasure" obtained from jumping on "newbies." Since, at least in the past, one of your favorite games was jump on the "newbie" maybe you can explain the "pleasure" you get from it. Why assume the worst? Seems to me it doesn't cost anything to give a person the benefit of the doubt. If they turn out to be an asshole maybe you can make a friend. If they're a troll, who the **** cares? If toying with the "newbie" is some kind of game, it seems to me that the biggest challenge in the game is typing the words. To answer the guy's question, I very seldom use any commercial product. I've never found one that lasts any length of time. If I get one free with a line, I'll use it but usually I just clean my line with a diluted soap solution and then rinse it off. The only treatment I do is to Gink it streamside if I'm having trouble keeping it floating. Before I Gink it, I pull it through a piece a chamois, or my shirt tail or ? to clean it. Willi |
