Default Penn's Creek Clave...Say "I"

i caught a nice brown - maybe 14 inches - on a streamer in blue rock
hole. lost 2 huge fish there, one on that brookie streamer you tied and
gave me a few years ago, and one on a huge black leech with a hinge in
its hip and trailing hook. those big ones ate the fly aggressively on
the strip in shortly after the swing, stunned me with the viciousness of
the take, then simply turned in a power i've never felt before. had them
on until they decided to zip away...they broke me off laughingly easy
(5x and 4x tippet). i did a poor job in the play. i'm a believer. mike
told me where the biggest fish holds (on the last night of my fishing, i
might add), so i'm gonna try for him next year.

You're doing a bit better than you did out West when you used 6X tippet
with a streamer, but overall I think you'd be better off using heavier
tippet when fishing streamers.
