I am not making any judgement but here goes:
Where my son works the customer service manager was offered something for
long service. His answer "Carp gear of course".
Together with the managing director, they went to the local tackle shop in
Hitchin Herts. They were going to spend around £700, this included buying
two identical carp rods.
One of the rods was marked up £5 more than the other, when he asked if he
could have it for the same price as the other one. the guy said that as the
manager was not available he could not authorise it.
In any event they went elsewhere and the Local tackle shop lost a sale of
£700.
