I saw the post requesting how to properly put crawfish onto a fish hook to use them as bass bait.I'm surprised that no one has responded to the post as I am also interested in this technique. Any input on this? One method is to simply run the hook through the bottom portion of the tail and out through the top portion. Another way is to start under the tail at the rear and run the hook in then out as you would a plastic worm but leaving the hook exposed. Keep in mind the latter will leave the hook pointing down where the former has the hook facing up. Bottom composition should dictate which methods you use. The trick is to always keep the hook in the meaty portion of the tail so as not to kill the crawfish. Jerry |
