whilst the boys

here at roff were havin' their fun at warren's wild west clave,
'ole wally turned fifty..... damn, but dats ok, did a bit of
fishin' up virginny way.

hauled the float boat and campin gear up to the fflist bassclave
on the james river. met some nice people and floated down a
pretty cool river.... catchin some ole bronzebacks... neat stuff.

the trick for the take was.... don't twitch. now gawdangit, who
here can't resist twitchin the popper or slider upon landing?
dang, those fish were smart. let the popper plop.... then drift.
odds were you'd get a nice smash if you were patient and didn't
twitch. but gawdangit.... i habitually twitch.... so i probably
spooked or missed the opportunity to kiss at least a thousand of
dem smallies....

dats ok.... caught aplenty and am itchin''till the next time that
i can go chase some of 'dem ole bronzes.... a really special fish
on the long rod.

glad everyone had a good time out west, hope to make it one of
these years....
