Default Time of day and bait for clear water?

What do you throw for bass in gin clear water?

With the storms up river that not something we had to deal with last
weekend, but what baits would you use in gin clear water for bass, and what
time of day would you think would be best.

I think morning with clear low profile topwaters, with a clear or very
natural jerk bait as a follow up. Then drop shots and/or finnesse worms
later in the day. An occassional natural style crank bait for variety.
Maybe an 1/8 oz spinner bait in green white or grey white colored trailer
with prizmatic willow blades.
