That gets rid of all the :: crap, and is immune to the creation of new sock puppets. :: Unfortunately not, some other newsreaders can be configured to ignore posts to more than two groups, I can't recall which one's exactly but I think Mozilla does this and maybe Pan?...sadly I don't think there's a way of doing it in OE, although I have been wrong in the past! Shame. I use TurnPike, which lets you write regular expressions against the headers, so you can do pretty much anything. Still, OE has never been highly thought of.
