Default Temple Fork Outfitters Customer Service

"Wayne Knight" observed that Big Dale and myself may be suffering from a
perception issue and he goes on to say that he has have rarely disagreed
with us over the years, but between Padishar, and Brusier there are 5 rods
by this maker returned for service. Old timers the he knows tells him that
this was a problem common to Sage when they first came out, St. Croix on
their early fly rods, Diamondback had to change their ferrulle design
(Wayne, had two of their first series of rods break). The commonality here
is "when they first came out", maybe they'll get more dependable, until then
it's a good thing they have good service. Until then, maybe you ought to
loosen your drag a little. grin
------------
Wayne, you make a good point. In my case, I am not used to the multi-piece
rod and I did not seat the tip piece well and therefore I believe it was my
fault it broke. Nevertheless, I have had some serious water time with my
replacement TFO and I have not had a bit of problem since. I will keep you
observations in mind as I work these new designs. I got the professional
series as a replacement to my IM8 rod. The IM8 seemed to cast a tiny bit
better for me, but I like the balance and feel of the professional series
better -- they seem a bit faster than the older IM8 models.

Padishar "who always needs to loosen his drag some"
