There are many sites by searching the web. I feel one of the more important
thing to learn is how to tie a good knot and the right knot for what you
want to do. Try searching for fishing knots. You need to speak with
different fisherman in your area to learn what bait and techniques they are
using to catch fish. Is it a Carolina rig, sliding cork, free lining or
just fishing under a cork. Then you can research the methods and techniques
they are using to learn how to perfect it. Marina owners are also a good
source for information. I feel getting information through newsgroups and
the internet will only be the basics. You need to get information about
fishing in your area.

Don't forget to check your local game laws. Remember practice conversation
and bring back all trash with you for proper disposal. This includes
fishing line.
