Girdle Bug for me -- I have caught one steelhead, numerous trout, whitefish,
smallmouth bass, largemouth bass (okay is was only 1/2 pound, at most),
crappie, bluegill, and a few perch.

By the way, has anybody else every heard of the single fly competition?


Not a single fly. But I remember reading something about what kind of
flys would you put in a survial kit. It may have been here ( or a
discussion on a similar topic).
As I remember it was you get a half dozen flys that would catch any
kind of fish anywhere in the world. The ideal was that wherever your
scramjet was shot down you would have a chance to catch something.
