I have had one for at least a year. Great unit. The base map is off a few
hundred yards, but that is government problem. Base for 2/3 of the US is off by that amount. Is black and white, so may not get all the detail that a color charter can give you with the maps. Actually loads a farily large area in the map memory. I am interested in how you like the Mapsource FH map. Is fun to play with on rainy days and anchored up. I have a bimini top on my boat. Figured out distance to Paris one day. Is a world map. Bill "Charles Summers" wrote in message ... Getting ready to purchase the Garmin 162 GPS... anyone have anything they think they need to share before I spend the cash? Opinions??? Of course, I'll load Mapsource Fishing Hotspots on it. That software rocks! Oh yeah... anyone interested in a used Garmin eMap? Great little handheld unit. -- Charles B. Summers Secret Weapon Lures http://www.secretweaponlures.com |
