Hi Y'all,
Just been and bought myself an upside down rod and baitcasting reel for a spot if lure fishing for pike & perch. Got home and loaded the spool with some 50lb braid (not fekin about). The reel dosn't appear to lock off and you can always pull line from the spool. Now, I thought that aint right, so took it down to show the bloke in the shop where I bought it from, he also agreed it wasn't right and took the other three reels off display to send back. He swapped the (no name) bait caster for a Daiwa Cygnus 100-3BiL reel. I've got this home and it appears to do the same thing, but with slightly more drag. Now, should this happen ? Should I be able to lock the reel off 100% ? Cheerz - Brownz http://fishing.brownz.org/ |
