roff voodoo

Yep. Some kind of auto-related curse going on here for su
1) I'm driving back from Penns 2002 and blow out my car's air
conditioner.
2) I'm driving to the Mass Appeal 'clave and blow out a tire.
3) I'm driving to meet a wandering roffian who strayed into New England
for supper tonight and throw the main drive belt after getting about 70
miles from home. Spent the evening in the company of a tow truck driver
instead. Thanks goodness for AAA Plus, or I'd be staring at a $300
towing bill!

Somehow I manage to drive back and forth, up and down across the entire
East Coast, from Maine to Florida, and never need so much as a quart of
oil, but throw another roffian into the equation and things get fubar.

who knows it's entirely possible that I *should* probably do some
preventive maintenance on the car once in a while to stay off this
voodoo.
