Spring steel? Where did you get that?
The RECOIL (their caps, not mine) guides are nickel titanium alloy. I've actually seen them on a rod, albeit a broken one... They weigh practically nothing, so the overall rod weight goes down. The guides are becoming quite popular with Waterloo customers. Anyway, I think they are intriguing, and am anxious to try them out. As I said, I'll let you know... -- Tight lines, Citizen Fisherman On 6-Mar-2004, "\"The Shadow\"" wrote: I have had the opportunity to examine these guides from REC. They are made of a nickel plated spring steel. Not exactly what I would use on a custom rod. Might as well be using boat guides. JMHO! -- "The Shadow" Millennium Rods |
