Want these and other newsgroups spam-free?

BTW moderation is done by members of these very same newsgroups that
ask to become moderators. The only moderation that is done is to
remove ads trying to tell you how to make a million dollars in a day,
or how much viagra you should be taking. No posts that are on subject
or not a blatant OT ad are removed, and I don't even do the removing.
If you love reading how to make $$$ ads then by all means you should
stick with reading the newsgroups straight out. And our forums have
never been slow and clunky. This newsgroups thing is only a minor
addon to what we have, We have our own forums made especially for our
site.

I have killfiles. They work. I trust my moderation to my own tastes.

And I still don't like Web forums.

And you'll probably notice that at the bottom of each post that
originates from our site to the newsgroups, I placed at statement
that it was posted from www.hookandsinker.com
I do that on purpose, not to advertise but to let people know where
that post came from. Each member on the message board has to register
to post and also has to provide a valid email address that they have
to validate by an email that is sent out to them upon registration.
By doing this if any member is found posting anything that is
offensive or harmful to others then you do have a recourse through us
by us notifying their provider and removing their account from the
message boards. Yes this won't keep them from going somewhere else
and posting but it will keep our message boards a clean place for
everyone. Unlike at google where any tom, dick or harry with a fake
email can post to the newsgroups, there is no accountablility there.
