Stan - are you guys getting in at a decent time on Friday? I suspect
the drake hatch will be on by then

IJ asks--all right mr mentor--if the drake hatch is still going during the
clave, what fly do i need to get the big one????

uhh..umm..a Drake? Well, really there are other answers. If there are
other flies around, I hear smaller ones work good also, but if it's early in
the hatch, stick with the Drake. Jonas will have a million of them, but
can't hurt to get a few beforehand.

Enjoyed hearing of trip with your son--hope you have given up smoking so
he won"t have to view the brown stains around your mouth as he views into
your coffin

Thanks for the words of encourage, if I hadn't quit already, this would sure
leave a good picture in my mind. It's been 6 + months...

Mike

Good for you, Mike. I still had cravings at a year, but you're over the
toughest part.

Have you seen the Hemlock Acres web site? That have a photo of a bear in
the tenting area...
http://www.hemlockacrescampground.com/ (loads very slow for me).

Now, I've never understood marketing, but does it seem a trifle... odd...
that a campground would publish a picture of a bear wandering past a picnic
table in their camp, in broad daylight? I enjoy Brother Bruin as much as
the next guy, but not necessarily in camp.

(or is that a picture of Wolfgang retreating? :-)

Bill (unlikely to attend Penns '05, though for non-bear related reasons)

It might save them on lawsuits if someone gets injured or killed by
the bear. "Well, duh, we show the picture of it wandering around
right on our page." Until they get the lawyer for the plaintiff
saying, "Doesn't that imply that it's a tame bear or under control by
the campground owner?" Unfortunately that's what some inexperienced
people actually will think. They'd better have some nice release
forms signed by all campers as they check in.

reservation and travel plans are complete. Jim and I will be there the 27th
through June 4.

Loaded so slowly for me that I gave up on it. Their Web designer just
isn't exactly current with things, is he / she? It seems to have been
the pics that were the problem. They aren't large, so they must have
been in some format that takes forever.
