It's like a candy store next to a school...

I am CURSED with having a store on the way home from work (actually Bass
Pro is closer to home than the job).

I have had my share of credit card scrutiny when the monthly bill comes
in and a months worth of purchases get lumped together.

The majority of my equipment comes from Bass Pro. There are a handful of
items they don't stock but overall they have nearly anything you could
want for fishing. The store branded equipment is comparable to any other
outfit (You can usually determine the name brand manufacturer is as).

I became an affiliate on my web site but have not kept up my 'store'
items recently but they do offer some good closeout deals regularly also.

I would also use Cabela's without reservation and can vouch for their
return policy and customer service.

You should check their web site and see if they have a store in your
state. The Springfield Mo store is very nice... for me at least the
store here in Illinois is a bit less than grand, but they still have
everything there... you pay tax but no shipping so it's about even in
cost over the catalog.

I'm lucky enough to have a bass pro shops store about 15 miles from my house
and I deal with them at least once a week, whether it be ammo, camo, camping
gear, fishing gear...you name it. They are top of the line. I've had no
problems returning items that were not what I expected and they are always glad
to shoot the breeze about huntin' and fishin'.

Hi,
I had always had found that the Bass Pro
Shops were always stocked with high quality
fishing gear for all types of fish. At least the
store in Auburn Hills, Michigan. And the staff
was pretty friendly and always tried to help you
found that certain lure or reel that you are looking for.
I have no opinion on Cabela's cnause I never
had did business with them. The

I've purchased sever times from them, line in particular. They ship
promptly and I've encountered no difficulty with them. Admittedly, my
purchase have been restricted to line( large spools of 20 & 30 lb.
Fireline ), but I find their prices for the items I purchase better than
tackle shops, even including the shipping.

Went to the one in Katy, Texas............................... WOW!

Now they are going to build the largest one in the US right here in Las
Vegas. DOUBLE WOW!

I like them. I like their quality. I like their guarantee. I like their
selection. I like their prices.

You might check Cabela's, too. They got lots of good stuff. Then just
compare and shop prices and sales.

YMMV

Bass Pro Shops is one of the nation's largest and most reliable outfitters you
can turn to. They also have a very good web presence. Check them out... I use
them almost exclusively. Gander Mountain is also a good one, although they do
not sell online.

Bass pro is the Wallmart of the sporting industry and is putting the good
mom & pop shops out of business. Ask them a real gun question and you'll
see how PC the place really is.

last time I was there they answered all my questions in the gun
department. If your talking on the phone to one of the part time high
school kids taking orders then you may not get your question answered. I
rate them number one in all departments as is Cabela's.
