The fact is that I intentionally snagged each in the back with oversized Abu-Reflex inline spinners by casting across their backs & then jerking hard when the lures were just dangling past their backs, burying the hooks deep in them. There is a small downside to such antics: First, I ran out of those prized lures. Also, of course I always seemed to fall & skin myself up badly as I ran away in terror. I can't really say that I eventually grew out of stupid things like this... I just ran out of the lures. Or did the "fisherman" catch the clap while fishing in TYNKS pond...Thats what I would like to know. Old TYNK wul dhave paid for those cotton mouths. She uses them for super long dildoes. Of course she pays more fr a rattle snake as it does nre for her with thse rattles. Yu know how hard it is to get off once yur past a certain age like TYNK is, so therefore she needs her toys to help, as well as getting her fudge packed....Anyone care to h ep TYNK get off just send her an email or drop by her huse. She is always willing to oblige. ------- I forgot more about ponds and koi than I'll ever know! |

A bloody great grass snake whilst spinning for perch. Hateful things, didn't
know it was a snake, last thing I thought it would be.I said to my mate, ''First eel of the season'', after that, all hell broke loose. Must have been a funny sight, a 6ft bloke screaming like a girl whilst doing the quickest highland fling anyone has seen. I now look before I hand land my fish! |

Oh, goody.......I was beginning to think this one wouldn't be worth the admission price. Nah......just kidding. As long as the world is filled with people who, without coercion from any outside agency, pick stupid names for themselves, it is a safe bet that they have not yet plumbed the depths of their penchant for self-immolation. What are the weirdest (whatever your definition of that is) things that you, or any friends, have caught so far while fishing ? I guess I'll have to delurk after an absence of 11 yrs from ROFF. About 20 yrs ago I was flyfishing for steelhead in the lagoon at the mouth of Pescadero Creek (CA). As I was hauling back to recast, a grebe paddled by and I snagged him by the tail feathers. That sucker was *strong*. When I had him just about close enough to release him, the game warden came up behind and made a sarcastic comment about my catch but declined to assist me in the release (no waders). A grebe is pretty scary up close with red eyes and a long sharp beak (and ****ed off). BTW, the warden was the same underachiever who shouted from the bluff above the lagoon for us waders to hold up our licenses so he could look at them through his binoculars on an earlier occasion. Back to lurk mode ;-) Bob Weiske |
