Wow, thanks for all the great, detailed suggestions.
After much thought, I'm leaning towards the latter planned mentioned -- cordoning off an area of the shared living space (shared with fiance), and dedicating that to this dream. However! The key part of the dream - the fly organization shelves - remains part of the plan. Still trying to figure out if it's going to be great, or an organizational nightmare. Any other thoughts on that - and any other things you might have in your fly fishing areas? For example, and I understand this might be a different part of the house -- what do you usually do with your waders and boots? (Up until now I've lived in Manhattan -- so I'd come home from the weekend trip and literally hang them out my window. But with the new place, I'm assuming I can do better.) Oh, and for the record -- I don't believe I'll be doing any tying. Tried it, liked it all right, but all in all I'd rather dedicate that time to fishing, or to spending time with family and friends so they'll let me go fishing more. |
