What Edwards doesn't say in his little article is that St. Joe's was a good
hospital run by the Sisters of Mercy. They eventually had to sell the hospital because they were the ones who would take the patients who couldn't pay, the people on Medicare, the elderly, etc. He also doesn't say anything about the culture of the management of St. Joe's which said the patient always came first. And they were called patients and not customers. Moreover, St. Joe's administration made it a policy that if a mistake was made, they owned up to it and settled. They very rarely contested stuff in court. As to the fly fishing content of this message, Sister Veronica, the last president of St. Joseph's Hospital fly fished. She grew up fly fishing in Connecticut with her dad and continued fishing in the mountains of North Carolina with her maintenance staff. I was honored to have her as a client. I took care of the retirement plan for St. Joe's up until 2001 so I do know a little bit of the history of the place. As for John Edwards, the SOB can rot in hell for all I care. -John "Ken Fortenberry" wrote in message om... Not old , not bitter, I have more fun than I am entitled to. Made money
without steeling it. I would not vote for your friend who has no morals. If he's such a sweetheart nomimate him for sainthood. I've read how he made in money and I wouldn't vote for someone who made it that way. It would have been a tough decision to pick between a moron and a Edwards. Looks like I won't have to now. If you look on your keyboard there's a wide key with an arrow on it, it makes upper case letters. "Jeff Miller" wrote in message news:Lgb1c.23354$TT5.13990@lakeread06... In a world where all corporations have access to attorney representation the contingency arrangement is a necessary means of securing legal representation for the common man. You've been brainwashed! We can help! Jon. Ends rarely justify means...and almost always do not when they are used to attempt to. |

Stev L notes
This has certainly been my experience. Finding an attorney and placing one's trust in that attorney can be as exasperating and potentially harmful as choosing a physician. life is full of choices, which one must make in an informed fashion. You were responding to Lou who noted: The court system, which is a momopoloy for lawyers is not set up for some one to represent thermselfs .....which, while it brings to mind many responses, argues strongly for finding a competent legal spokesperson, when the need arises. Tom Unfortunately, the lay person is often as ill-equipped to choose an attorney as to choose a physician. Knowing which questions one must ask can make all the difference, as can having an insurance policy that allows choice. Yet another clue bat busted to no good effect. ![]() Wolfgang still, it can't hurt the employment picture in louisville. ![]() |
