Great idea Chuck. I can tell you that I like driving the Chevy far more
than the Expedition I just got out of. Too much play in the steering wheel for me, I was never comfortable towing in that truck. They blamed it on the boat so I would have to pay for it. So I showed them, I told them to terminate my lease. Drove over bought an F-150 and offered theChevy Dealers manager a tour of my Ford when I went over to sign the papers. They did try to get me to pay for the brake system repair, I said tried ![]() The Tahoe did a great job until the Brake System failed. My monies on Ford right now, mine does a super job. With the new model out they should tow even better now. I would love to see Ford get more involved in the Tour scene, honestly I dont know if Ford even has a pro team, I don't recall ever seeing information about any. Dodge either for that matter. Well, I left Nissan about a month ago to work for a SUPER Dealer with multi
dealerships in 6 states. I represent Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Lincoln, Mercury, Pontiac, and Buick to mention only a few. So I see the plus and minuses in all the models. There is not one vehicle that has THE perfect blend of everything. But I am a diesel fan, and love fifth wheels. Both GM and Ford have an excellent model, and both can handle the important stuff extremely well - a 22' bass boat. Talk about over-kill, nobody needs that much truck to haul around a boat, BUT IT SURE IS FUN!! You boys ever need a new or certified per-owned rig, just let me know. I'll make sure you get an Excellent Deal!, and I can have it drop shipped to your local dealer for a courtesy delivery. Hell, if we own that dealership, I'll fly in to deliver it myself. I tow with a '99 Expedition. Tows fine except for the gas mileage. I tow a
4400# rig. Going to get a new Diesel pickumup. Prefer the Chevy, but neighbor works for Ford and says I can get a really good deal on a buyback. I had a 2000 gmc 1500 with 2 sets of warped rotors and to boot, the metal
brake line was engineered too close to the rotor. Result? I had no brakes at all when pulling my cargo trailer. Luckily, I was able to pull over in time...towed repaired (My $) and later sold. I now have a GMC 2002 2500 heavy 3/4 with proper brakes. (It pulls like no other) I have a gas hog now...put on a K & N filter and a flowmaster cat back exaust which got me 3 or 4 mpg. Moral: Always been a Ford guy until I looked at them side by side in standard feature comparison. Maybe Ford will get it right one day? I am looking at a new truck. Top of list is new 2500 ext cab duramax LT.

He works for Ford and they bought back a bunch of the 2003 6.0L diesels and the turbo programming was wrong. Supposedly fixed. Figure I can maybe score one for 22-24K.
