From my research I have concluded that Simms cannot be beat for quality, but it seems that Orvis cant be beat for warranty? I ve had the new SImms G 3 s for under a year, lots of leaks and they haven t been very helpful as far as customer service. The lighter ones were n t much better. I think their cusomer service could be better MT My experience with two pairs from them was the same as yours. I felt like they were blaming me. They wanted me to pay them some $ (I forget how much) to have the guide weight ones repaired so I told them to stuff it. I met a big shot from Gortex on the river and two of us told him our experiences with Simms. He said for us to tell Simms so shove it up their butts and give us new pairs. We didn't bother. I've switched to Dan Bailey's guide weights and they've been my favorite so far. John (Bailey) stands behind is products! Orvis too. I just ordered a pair of their new Pro waders just for the heck of it :-) -pw remove astericks (*) from e-mail address (use paulwilliamson at spamcop dot net) ----== Posted via Newsfeed.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeed.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 100,000 Newsgroups ---= 19 East/West-Coast Specialized Servers - Total Privacy via Encryption =--- |

They are, however, guaranteed for life. If they leak (mine don't, after three seasons) they will fix or replace. I've had several pairs of cheaper "breathable" waders that didn't make it through a single season. Now that's expensive. |
