Big Plastic baits
Most often: 8 inch - 10 inches
Biggest: 14 inch Colors: Red Shad, Grape Shad, Tequila Sunrise, Christmas Tree, and Junebug Lunker City makes a 14 inh Slug-Go set that I use when hawg hunting. Today I will be pouring some 10 inch curly tailed worms in a few colors.

Big Plastic baits
Most often. Either a 7 1/2" Culprit or a Gene Larew Saltcraw.
Biggest. 10" Culprit in either Black Shad or Red Shad. Casts a country mile on little weight. Helps you to feel the bottom better. Catches dinks just as well as a little worm. I don't know what it is, you'd think that small fish would be imtimidated, but their not. Carlos

This thread has become very informative.Most of you mention that " color depends on conditions". Could you be a little more speific as to what conditions govern what color you chose? I am trying to use your experinses to decrease my learning curve. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Mike

I've caught a few big smallmouth bass on ten inch worms. You know the feeling
no tug just a sure and steady take away of the line then responding with a hookset and all hell breaks loose. Using ten inch worms assures a sizeable fish for the taking.
