Default line twist

Line does not twist itself. Either the lure/technique (inline spinner/drop
shot/soft jerkbait/tube) imparts twist, or the equipment (spinning reel
with loose drag, binding bail, etc.), or the idiot holding the rod (you)
puts the twist in the line. I'm betting on all three in this case, but
mostly the last.

Rich, I have convinced myself over the last 25 years that the biggest cause
is the design of the reel. I've had reels that twist line regardless of what
I do, even though the same lures, lines and techniques don't twist line on
other reels.

My latest instance is the new Regal-Zs twist line whereas their predessors
didn't. For example, my RG-Z2500Ts don't twist line, but RG-Z2500Cs DO twist
line. Obviously, certain techniques or careless practices cause twist also,
but I believe these are secondary to the reel itself.

I'd like a piece of that action. I am betting on #3 also.
