I have a pair of Orvis Henry's Fork wading boots that are about 3 years old. The felt is coming off of one of them. I really like the boots other than that. Good foot/leg support. Can anyone recommend how to fix (replace the felt) or have it replaced? Thanks in advance. You should take them back to the Orvis shop and ask them. I've done all the other stuff, including carpet, but when I took my last pair back to Orvis, the manager looked at them and handed me a new pair at no charge. I'd had them less than a year, but had fished them well over 100 days. When the replacements did it at about a year, I just cleaned them, filled in the gap with Marine GOOP, and they're OK now. I was a bit bashful about asking for yet another replacement pair. I took a pair ( different brand) and some felt soles purchased from Cabela's to the local cobbler and said "fix em" .... he did, and very well, for not a whole lot of money |
