well, top posting is an innocent succussion (got that from a physician's
notes) made sublime by your personal reaction... as in most pertinacious ****ing contests, the "p" is wasted and unnecessarily consumes energy and space. i'd go with the "rsltf"... i'm thinking about using it on a t-shirt. Dear Wayne
Rather than landfill your graphite , I will use them for awhile What have you got to send? MT Dear Mark: There once was a "what do you have thread" and I made the mistake of posting what I had at the time. I would be happy to send them to you however each rod will require a disposal fee, how big is your wallet? Damn, I got cash from "disposing" my popup camper today. If the wiff wasn't gonna be outta work for 3 months, I would gladly pay to paw through your collection. 'Sides, I got dibs on a couple of those worthless pieces of future lightbulb filaments. -- Frank Reid Reverse email to reply |

um...well, if you're a true believer, then you'll have no problem
sending me each and every one of your graphite rods...and, if you're truly pure, all of your reels. i'm here to help with your burden friend... jeff Wayne Knight wrote: We're fly fishermen, we care about the environment, yet most of fish with graphite fly rods. As a group we're freeking hypocrites! Think about it graphite is not friendly to the environment, leave your fly rod out in the weather for 20 years, the cork, wood, and metal will eventually degrade but the rod itself will still be there, just like any other plastic! And we all know landfill space is at a premium. When armageddon comes and we're all dead, your cane rods will bio degrade so that whatever higher class of animal evolves from the resulting event won't have to clean up more plastic and might even get a few more drops of fuel from the disolved cane. (who needs dinosaurs) Everyone but Barnard knows that a good cane rod is more forgiving to the caster's imperfections, is a better fish fighting tool, and most are made by skilled craftsmen or hobbyist with a love for transforming pieces of grass into a fine fishing tool. So what if they might a little more and cost a little more. What's a little extra weight and saving your pennies weighted against the gains to the environment? Even ROFF's number 1 penny pincher took the plunge last year and ordered one! Take the pledge, recycle your graphite fly rods into Patagucci's latest fleece jackets and pants, use cane, its environmentally friendly. |
