So get used to it. There will be protests at the inauguration,
there will be calls for impeachment, there will be hell-raising
from sea to shining sea and some of it will appear here in your
favorite fishing group.

The one thing I found absolutely shocking in Fahrenheit 9/11 was the
prtotests going on at the last inauguration that the press chose not to
cover

Hmmmm. . . haven't there been protests at *every* inauguration? Probably
not newsworthy (read: violent and loud) enough to cover.

Have you seen the vid? This was many protesters throwing trash at the
presidential motorcade. It was a fairly rowdy scene, with the president
right at the center. Bush couldn't even leave the car to walk the last
bit, as is tradition. When citizens are throwing eggs at the president,
that's news. When placed in context of the level of contentiousness of the
election, the Supreme Court decisions, and so on, the absence of coverage
was inexusable.

well, there was *one* little incident at mine, but it was relatively
innocuous, and the minister of interior placidity (gen'l j.m. roberts)
handled it quite effectively.

..some people will never get over it..

You got that right. And why should they ?

What kind of La La Land do you live in anyway where the 48% of
the people who feel screwed, ****ed and betrayed by their own
goddamn countrymen are now supposed to act like nothing ever
happened ? Besides being stupid, that would be downright
unpatriotic !

......well **** Kenny, one out of two is acceptable, now you guess which
one.

So get used to it. There will be protests at the inauguration,
there will be calls for impeachment, there will be hell-raising
from sea to shining sea and some of it will appear here in your

Love it or leave it, Frankie baby.

.....no, I don't love it and I damn sure ain't letting a bunch of whiny-
assed lefties run me out of this newsgroup. Hellraising? Oh **** oh dear
me, I can see it now...you and Opie marching in front of the Capitol with
your cardboard signs. You gonna issue Op a seven iron? Two of a kind I'd
say. My irony meter just pegged.

Frank the Red

...I wonder how many non US roffians are still with us after a year of
this ****? My apologies to you all. And, oh yeah, BITE ME FORTY!!

You have no idea how much amusement you provide. Sore losers are
positively hilarious to me.

Besides, I might live in La Ti ****ing Da Land, where the only people
that "feel screwed...betrayed" are the ones who'd be rubbing the other
half's collective noses in it were the situation reversed. I'm no
Republican, but you Democrats are hysterical beyond belief.

Perhaps you are the one who has some "getting used to it" to do. I
figure you've got four years to work on it.

Ouch!
I guess that had to hurt someone, but who know who?

rewards.
