![]() "Kevin Vang" wrote in message t... In article , says... How long does the Flex-Coat take to dry? It gets pretty stiff after 30 minutes or so, but it will still feel tacky for several hours. Useful gluing, painting, and varnishing tip: Put a dab of your glue (or paint or varnish) on a piece of scrap, and then when you get the urge to touch something to see if it has dried yet, touch the scrap, so you don't leave a permanent fingerprint on your project. It probably shouldn't be necessary to add, but....... Be sure the scrap piece is the same material.....or, at least as similar as possible. Paint, glue, varnish, etc., will not behave the same on a piece of scrap cardboard or even bare wood as they will on something that has already been sealed with a previous coat of whatever or that is inherently non-porous. Wolfgang fingers, hair, upholstery, lips, pets and clothing are generally also unsuitable.....albeit for somewhat different reasons. ![]() |

Because it rusted away in a scrapyard 20 years ago? Nah. I don't have a Leatherman, so I can't put disc brakes on it. Besides, it needs a new water pump and I can't FIND the darned thing! :-) It's right next to the torque converter. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

How foolish. With a little ingenuity you could have figured out a way to install them on the cheap. -- Ken Fortenberry |

Face it old friend, football season is no time for a Tar Heel to be harping about anybody else's ****ed up sense of reality. On the other hand, I did pay good money to sit outside on what promises to be a raw, chilly, drizzly night to watch my Illini get eviscerated by Penn State. If I have any sense at all, and that's not at all likely, I'll leave at halftime, walk home, start a fire in the fireplace and watch the first game of the World Series on the tube. -- Ken Fortenberry |
