People have been disagreeing for an eternity. We used to (some say we still do...but at least it's less) go to war over it, now we go on talk radio/TV and yell at each other. Cluelessness on a biblical scale. We won't hold it against you. Ah! "I'm rubber and you're glue...." Say, I bet that's really gonna rock the guys at the old watering hole when you tell 'em about it this evening, huh? The chicks at happy hour are just gonna SWOON! The recent liberal frustration has to do with the democratic party's complete inability to articulate it's position and put forth a decent Presidential candidate. The inability to articulate a position is one of Rove's more genious inventions. The position is that Dems think that pols should be held accountable for their screwups. It's a mystery to me that anybody who expects to be taken seriously can say "... and what would the Democrats do to fix Iraq?" Hell, we don't even know what the Republicans want to do to fix that FUBAR situation. Oh, yeah, stand down when they stand up. Good plan. Two legs good, four legs bad. -- Scott Reverse name to reply |

Since the repeal of the fairness doctrine in brodcasting it has gotten worse. The current sad state of affairs correlates with the arrival of Rush Limbaugh on radio. It's a sad comment on us as a people that there is a market for hate. There has always been a market for hate in the US: look at the KKK's history for 80-odd years. It is difficult to avoid inter-tribal conflict in a nation that is the sum of many tribes with (relatively) recent memories of other pasts. And Rush is simply the latest incarnation of a lineage that stretches back to folks like Father Conklin and the pro-German Bund activists of the 30's and early 40's. |

You extreme left wingers amuse me. Limbaugh is nothing more than an entertainer. He gets $30 million/year. Personally I don't think he deserves it, but if he gets that much just to **** you off, Pavlov, maybe he *does* deserve it. Al Franken tried it for you far left wingers and fell on his face. Too funny! |

Too funny! Limbaugh produces plausible sounding soundbites to entertain people too lazy or ignorant to understand complex issues. Liberals understand that complex issues cannot be reduced to partisan soundbites and aren't much amused by it even when Al Franken does it. Face it, we're just smarter than you. -- Ken Fortenberry |

Limbaugh is an entertainer, just like Susan Sarandan, Barbra whatsherface-with-the-big-nose, Charlie Sheen, Al Franken, Oliver North, et al. Nothing more, nothing less. He just happens to make more money than they do, and the fact that he ****es off Pavlov is a bonus. |

Limbaugh makes his money peddling half-truths and propaganda to nitwits who are more than happy to be so "entertained". Quite a different line of work than that of most entertainers. -- Ken Fortenberry |
