In all the brouhaha surrounding this hunting accident I
don't believe I've read a single word on roff about Cheney's
choice of shotgun. He was using a Perazzi. Now say what you
will about Cheney, fact is he has great taste in shotguns.

i shot in excess of 50 thousand targets during my decade of competition
shotgunning, and was privileged to have access to every brand of high
quality shotgun on the planet. perazzi was clearly my favorite.

The old fart lucky the prince of darkness wasn't using one of his full
automatics. Cheney has a collection of legal full automatic weapons
including an MP5, Thompson and a Schmeisser. He was to busy way back
when he could have played with a real M-16 or an M-60 so now he lives
his second childhood.

"...We're told Cheney is a good shot to boot."

Not so good, evidently, that he doesn't leave an occasional cripple in the
field.

Hey, he recovered it...I have no doubt he could have put him out of
his misery, had the situation called for it...

Witnesses. As it is, they may yet prove troublesome. We'll see.

I'm wondering whether those right-wing Republicans out there think that
Teddy Kennedy was drunk when he had the accident at Chappaquiddick, and
that he delayed reporting the accident to cover that up.

Sweet? Well, yeah, sure. But if all you're doing is popping off the
occasional friend, neighbor or hunting partner, a Remington 120 will do just
as well at a fraction of the cost. Not that there's anything wrong with
gearwhoredom.......but, I mean, let's be realistic here......it's just a
tool.......right?

Wolfgang
always remember......it's the load.....and the shooter.....that does the
bidness.
sick *******s.
