I did see guys who stood in the same place all day, but didn't see any of them fishing "at their feet" Never said I saw someone standing in the same place all day. I did see two guys standing at the head of the KH nymphing *down-stream*, and if you can't figure out what they were doing, well...... |

You've just described Wolfgang to a T. Still, I miss the nasty little jerk and wish you hadn't run him off with your pollyanna platitudes. I bet Willi a beer that he'd be back. That's a bet I sincerely hope to lose. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |

You said "I saw people that were fishing for the fish *at their feet*". Now you say "down-stream". I did see people fishing in the shallow water in the braids, and they were fishing for the trout that were two or three feet downstream from them. And, the fish were there because the fisherman was there. That is NOT fly fishing. Also, I didn't say you said someone was standing in the same place all day, I saw them doing that - and not fishing "at their feet", or "down-stream" for that matter. The SJ isn't my favorite type of place to fish, but it wasn't as big a circus as the hyperbole of you and those "of your ilk" had led me to believe it might be. -- In the words of my favorite roffian sage: FYC I never returned to the SJ because of the conditions. I have fished other tailwaters and never saw the beat up fish that the SJ contains. I fished the Big Horn and never caught a fish with lip sores or so defeated that it couldn't fight. |
